ECO-CRAFTS VOCATIONAL TRAINING FOR INCOME GENERATION
In collaboration with Wellpaper.org (INDIA) we are running a three months vocational training on Eco-craft for income generation. We up cycled local dry waste (cartons, papers, plastic bottles, etc…) into salable eco-friendly items, all are hand made and chemical free.
The members of the group include 14 women and 1 man from the Kubungabunga Cooperative Nyanza. During this training, the members not only learned how to make beautiful decorative objects like jewelry, elephants and, the African Mama figure, etc... they also learned interpersonal skills, leadership skills and, business skills. The goal is to establish the foundation for small scale social enterprise and pass on the knowledge and skills to train other people.
